I had terrible cystic acne that was only getting worse as I got older. By my early thirties, the acne was worse than it was in my teens.
How many parties and dates did I skip because of bad skin days? Many!
I don’t know what’s worse – getting unsolicited advice for my skin, someone staring at my pimples instead of my eyes, or, worse yet, someone outright asking why my skin is so bad.
I cringe just thinking about those awful encounters.
Recently, I was talking to an owner of a big skin care company. We were talking about his acne line. He kept referring to “young people” and “teenagers”. I found myself completely perplexed. What about “adult acne” that afflicts women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s – we get breakouts and acne too!
I was so frustrated by that conversation that I started The CLEAR SKIN Essentials to offer effective and real solutions for women struggling with their skin.
Like you, I tried everything – medications, prescription creams and lotions, birth control pills, acne skin care systems. You name it, I tried it.
And nothing worked.
It was only when I changed my approach and started improving my diet, skincare routine, and lifestyle that I finally started getting results.

When I saw how diet, skincare, and lifestyle changes healed my skin, I was so inspired! I decided to make a massive career change so I could share what I learned with others. I went back to school to study nutrition, holistic health, natural skincare, and got my accreditation as a Certified Health Coach.
